Edge AI inventory counting

Count what's in your stock area by sight — online or offline. Reviewed, then straight into your ERP.

Countara is mobile equipment for a single operator — spatial vision-assisted cameras and on-board AI that recognize stock, tally it even when the internet is down, and hand clean, reviewed numbers to your ERP — SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, 1C and more.

Why counting is still slow

The count happens on the floor. The truth lives in the ERP. Nothing connects them.

Physical inventory is still walked, clicked, and keyed by hand — under time pressure, poor light, and no signal in the aisles. Numbers drift, recounts pile up, and the ERP only hears about it hours later. Countara closes that gap at the source: it counts by camera where the stock actually sits, and it doesn't need a network to do it.

What Countara does

Mobile equipment that sees, tallies, and reports.

Sees the stock

Spatial vision-assisted cameras recognize items where they sit — no barcode hunt, no manual keying to identify what's in the stock area.

Works with no internet

Everything runs on the device at the edge. Aisles with no signal, a dropped uplink, a whole shift offline — the count keeps going and syncs when it's back.

Speaks your ERP

Counts export as clean documents into SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or 1C — through ready-made interface adapters, or a simple CSV exchange when you'd rather keep it light.

Built for the floor

A high-contrast, glare-ready tablet interface designed for one hand, in a hurry, in full-screen kiosk mode — with in-page keypads, never a fight with the OS keyboard.

Reviewed before it lands

Every count passes an office-side review and quality gate before it's exported. Nothing reaches the ERP until a person has signed off on it.

Learns your catalog

Train a new SKU once on the device and Countara recognizes it from then on. The catalog it counts against grows with your inventory, on your terms.

How it works

Three steps, from the aisle to the system of record.

Countara runs as two connected halves — a Mobile runtime on the floor and an Office runtime that reviews and integrates. The floor never waits on the network.

Step 01

Train the eye

Capture each SKU once through the cameras. Countara builds the recognition it needs to identify that item in the stock area later — no barcodes required.

Step 02

Count on the floor

The office assigns a Counting Document. The operator walks the aisle, the cameras recognize and tally the stock, and it all records locally — signal or not.

Mobile runtime · edge
Step 03

Sync to the office

On reconnect, counts flow to the Office runtime for review, then export as clean documents your ERP can book directly — reviewed numbers only.

Office runtime · integrated
One product, two runtimes

The floor works in any condition. The office stays in control.

Vision-assisted counting

Spatial vision-assisted cameras recognize and tally stock right on the device, in real time — and keep counting through dropped connections without ever losing a count.

Review & integration

The connected master reviews every count, runs the quality gate, and owns the export into the ERP. It's the single source of truth the floor reports up to.

Why Countara

Paper and scanners belong to the last century.

Stock counting hasn't really changed in decades — someone still walks the aisle with a clipboard or a handheld scanner, one item at a time. Countara replaces that with spatial vision: faster passes, automatic counts, cleaner records, and far less disruption to the work that actually pays the bills.

Paper countsLegacy Barcode scannersLegacy CountaraToday
Speed Walk, write, then key it in — often twice. Trigger every item, one at a time. Recognizes the whole stock area by sight in a single pass.
Automation Entirely manual, start to finish. A manual scan for every single unit. The AI camera identifies the SKU, confirms it against any barcode label, and does the counting for you.
Documentation Loose tally sheets, retyped later. Scan logs with no visual proof. Reviewed digital records, backed by image evidence.
Accuracy Miskeys, double-counts, lost sheets. Wrong scans and skipped items slip through. AI recognition plus an office review gate.
Disruption Aisles blocked for hours, or a full shutdown. Staff and devices tied up item by item. Quick passes — your operation keeps moving.
Cost & licenses Labor-heavy, and every recount adds more. Scanner fleets, per-seat licenses, upkeep. One mobile kit, our own software, no third-party licenses.
Fits in, stands alone

Works with your ERP. Depends on nothing else.

Countara sends clean, reviewed counts into SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, 1C and more — through ready-made interface adapters for a fast rollout, or as simply as a CSV exchange when you'd rather keep it light. And it all runs on our own proprietary software: no third-party engines, no outside commercial licenses, nothing extra to buy or renew.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does Countara work offline?

Yes. Recognition, counting, and the local database all run on the device, so a full shift with no connection is no problem — counts sync to the office the moment you're back online.

Which ERP systems does it work with?

SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, 1C and more. Counts export through ready-made interface adapters, or a simple CSV exchange when you'd rather keep it light.

Does it require barcodes?

No. Countara recognizes stock by sight. When a barcode label is present it can confirm the item against it, but the count never depends on barcodes.

How are counts reviewed before they reach the ERP?

Every count passes an office-side review and quality gate. Nothing is exported until a person has signed off — your ERP only ever receives reviewed numbers.

What hardware do we need to provide?

None. Countara is self-contained mobile equipment that fully equips one operator — you don't source or assemble any devices.

How does it handle new products?

Train a new SKU once on the device and Countara recognizes it from then on. The catalog it counts against grows with your inventory, on your terms.

Is our data processed on-device?

Yes. Recognition and counting happen on the device at the edge — nothing has to leave the equipment to produce a count, and reviewed results sync to your office when connected.
